As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventative measures we have put in place at RiverWoods Behavioral Health System to keep our patients, their families, and our employees safe. Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, there are certain restrictions in place regarding on-site visitation at RiverWoods Behavioral Health System.

  • These restrictions have been implemented in compliance with updated corporate and state regulations to further reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
  • Options for telehealth visitation are continuously evaluated so that our patients can remain connected to their loved ones.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

  • Thorough disinfection and hygiene guidance is provided.
  • Patient care supplies such as masks and hand sanitizer are monitored and utilized.
  • Temperature and symptom screening protocols are in place for all patients and staff.
  • Social distancing strategies have been implemented to ensure that patients and staff maintain proper distance from one another at all times.
  • Cleaning service contracts have been reviewed for additional support.
  • Personal protective equipment items are routinely checked to ensure proper and secure storage.

The CDC has provided a list of easy tips that can help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then immediately dispose of the tissue.

  • Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces that are frequently touched.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

The adult services offered at Riverwoods Behavioral Health System are designed to treat patients that are 18 years of age and older. Our treatment program focuses on the treatment of mental health, chemical dependency, and dual diagnosis disorders while helping patients overcome the everyday challenges and stressors that play a large role in overall healthy living. We offer a full-spectrum of services including inpatient crisis stabilization, partial hospitalization programming, and intensive outpatient programming. We want you to receive the specific treatment that is most appropriate for your needs in your journey to finding happiness and stability. Our residential program is located in South Atlanta (Riverdale), Georgia.

Aftercare Planning

At Riverwoods Behavioral Health Systems, we offer aftercare planning for all clients that choose to heal with us.

We realize that treatment is an on-going process and keeping patients involved in treatment programs will provide them with the greatest chance of success. With this knowledge, we now offer aftercare groups to assist in the recovery process. These groups are free of charge and are offered to all current and former patients as they travel down the path to reclaiming their lives. Riverwoods Behavioral Health System also offers weekly 12-step meetings.
